The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of John Killoy can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Paul Pluff
Condolence: Our hearts and prayers go out the the Killoy family at their time of loss. It is a testament to the man who accomplished so much and touched so many and has left behind a family legacy so rich with accomplishments and pride. The gates of heaven must have open wide to graciously welcome him to a place he can rest at peace.

Condolence: Jack was a true High Point icon. He demanded perfection by example, but was always quick with encouragement and a joke. A great educator and principal, he will truly be missed.

Condolence: One of the finest role models in my life passed away on wednesday. My pop-pop was one of a kind; he was always there for his children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren in whatever capacity was needed. He was the strong silent type as I always described him to those who didnt know him well. He without a doubt was one of the greatest supporters of my family and I, and no one could ever replace him or what he has meant to me. He lead a great life and he was one of the GREATEST men I have had the priviledge to know. I love you my pop-pop and I always will, I know he is in heaven now with my Julianna and my Grandma and his many other friends and family who have passed before him smiling down and watching over us all. God bless you pop and god bless our family. Until we meet again pop-pop.

Condolence: On Wednesday evening, May 3,2017 my father-in-law Jack Killoy passed into eternal life surrounded by his loving family. Jack was the kindest, most honorable, selfless and patient man. He always guided you in his gentle way, never judging, always encouraging. He has been a pillar of strength for me in good times and in bad times, always there for me when I needed someone to listen, a shoulder to cry on, and the bravest man I know for allowing our daughter Breanna to get behind the wheel of a golf cart with him as a passenger at the age of 9 or 10. And even when she ran the golf cart off the path with him in it, he never scolded her, he just smiled and enjoyed the day with her. He was a wonderful role model for his family, students, and everyone that came into his life. His smile could light up a room. He was a leader in every way that was good. His love for Brian, myself and Breanna will fill my heart forever, and I know he will be with us in spirit wherever life's path takes us. I love you Dad and miss you so much.

Condolence: On Wednesday, my Pop-pop passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones (we're so grateful to loving hospital staff who ensured that). We'll be celebrating his life and love of golf on May 27th.

My Pop-pop and I adored each other, we always cut to the chase, no BS, and yet he still thought I was special (even when I was complaining about his smoking). I'll really miss him but I'll cherish the times we spent together more - Every dance recital, t-ball game, soccer game, graduation, he was at them all. Every time someone from his town or golf club recognized me from his photos or knew what I was up to because he spoke so proudly of me and my siblings and cousins, he just always made me feel so special. He really adored us and wanted us to lead happy and fulfilling lives and I'll carry that unconditional love with me always. There's never enough time but the time we had was enough. Xoxo

Condolence: Dad loved kids and they loved him. My kids called him "the baby whisperer."
He set high expectations but didn't have to say much to do so. He used to get the Sunday NY Times early, make xerox copies of the puzzle, hand them out to my brothers and me, and then just sit down and do the puzzle in ink. Now I never go anywhere without my book of Times puzzles and a pen...hmmm, I wonder where that comes from
