Obituary for Darlene Mary Haight (Storms)

Vernon Twp., NJ: Darlene Mary Haight(nee Storms), 60 years old, died after a long illness at St. Anthony’s Hospital, Warwick, NY on Wednesday, June 7, 2017. Born to Harold and Beverly Storms in Sussex, NJ, she has been a lifelong resident of Vernon Twp., NJ.

Darlene graduated from Franklin High School, Class of 1973 and went right to work at many vocations; she worked for a Real Estate agency and has been a newspaper delivery person for the New Jersey Herald for over 2 decades. She enjoyed being outdoors, attending car shows, camping and flowers.

Darlene is predeceased by her father, Harold Storms(2005) and is the beloved wife of Michael Haight of Vernon Twp., NJ. Devoted mother of twins, Brian and Brianna Haight of Vernon Twp., NJ. Loving daughter of Beverly Storms of Vernon Twp., NJ. Dear sister of Darryl Storms and his wife, Linda of Vernon Twp., NJ. Aunt of Michelle Storms of Vernon Twp., NJ. Step aunt of Jason Mitchell of Vernon and Jeremy Mitchell of Kansas. Grandaunt of Dylan and Dimetri. Cherished by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive their friends at Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94(1 Vanderhoof Court for GPS), Vernon, NJ on Sunday, June 11, 2017 from 3-6 PM. Funeral service will be Monday, June 12, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Glenwood Cemetery, Vernon Twp., NJ. Memorial gifts to a favorite dog rescue would be appreciated.
