Wantage Twp., NJ: Frank A. Mentone, Jr., 66 years old, died unexpectedly at home on Sunday, September 10, 2017. Born to Frank and Theresa Mentone in Newark, NJ, he had lived in Vernon Twp., NJ before moving to Wantage Twp., NJ 4 years ago.

Frank worked as a service repair technician for Sears in Rockaway, NJ for nearly 40 years retiring in 2009. He was a member of the Metropolitan Rail Club in Little Falls, NJ, the Starcraft Camper Club and was a former leader of BSA Troop 183. He enjoyed camping with the Boy Scouts, chaperoning class trips, sci-fi and war movies and was a dedicated 9/11 observer.

Frank is the devoted father of Christopher Mentone and his wife Christine of Vernon Twp., NJ, Timothy Mentone and his wife, Kera of Point Pleasant, NJ and Nicholas Mentone and his wife, Jessica of Warwick, NY. Loving grandfather of Leanna, Susan, Walter, Hugh, Isabella, Sam and Abigail. Dear brother of Nancy Mecca and her husband, Mark Sciacca of Totowa, NJ. He resided with his companion, Anne Colborn and was formerly married to Nancy mentone.

Cremation services under the direction of Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94, Vernon, NJ are private. A celebration of Life to be planned for a later date.
