Obituary for Elizabeth Ann Garnis (Vadovsky)

Elizabeth A. Garnis, 90, formerly of Franklin, died Friday, February 2, 2018, at St. Clare’s Hospital Dover after a brief illness.
“Betty” was born in and resided in Franklin for most of her life. A graduate of Franklin High School, she was employed as a Laboratory Technician for 31 years at Picatinny Arsenal and served as a union representative. After retiring in 1983, she continued to work part-time for the Franklin Elementary School. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, the Polish American Eagles and the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling, rescuing animals and playing bingo.
Mrs. Garnis was married for 49 years to her late husband Joseph Garnis and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Durina) Vadovsky. She is survived by her sister Anne Serben, nieces, nephews, cousins and their spouses.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 8th at 9 a.m. at the F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main Street in Franklin, to be followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception RC Church. Interment will be in the North Hardyston Cemetery.
