Lee Anne Smith, 52, passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, July 4th 2018. Lee Anne was born on September 6, 1965 in Pompton Plains, NJ and lived most of her life in Sussex County.

Lee Anne worked as a paralegal until her daughter Madison was born in 2004. Lee Anne’s greatest pride and joy was Madison, she was so very proud of the young lady she has grown up to be. Lee Anne enjoyed chauffeuring Madison and her friends to different activities such as the movies, shopping and sports. Lee Anne also enjoyed spending time with her dog Grant, who was always by her side.

Lee Anne was considered a good friend to many. She was very loving, compassionate and devoted to her family and friends, often putting their needs before her own.

Lee Anne was predeceased by her grandfather, George Stone Jr.

Lee Anne is survived by her grandmother, Ruth Stone; parents, Richard and Cynthia Banas; daughter Madison Thalmann; brother Michael and his wife Cathie; nephew Matthew and niece Megan. Cherished by many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, July 15th, 2018 at 4:00pm at the Sussex United Methodist Church, 15 Bank Street, Sussex, NJ 07461.
