McAfee; Alice F. Keppler, 80, passed away home on Sunday August 19, 2018. Alice was born in McAfee and was a lifelong resident, born on Oct. 31, 1937 to Douglas and Mildred (Talmadge) Sanders Sr.


Alice was a school bus driver for Snooks Bus Company for 25 years. She loved the outdoors and her flowers. Alice was a lifetime member of the McAfee Fire Department ladies Auxiliary and the Ladies Auxiliary of Sussex County Fire Department.


Alice was predeceased by her son, Richard David Keppler, and her siblings, Hardy, Adeline, Martha, Daniel, James, and Katherine Sanders.


Alice is survived by her children, Cindy DiGiovanni of Virginia, Michael Keppler of Vernon, Daniel Keppler and his wife Michelle of Green Twp., PA, Andrew Keppler and his companion Brenda Wilson of Milford, PA, and her 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, and her daughter-in-law, Karen Keppler of Westtown, NY, and her siblings, Douglas Sanders Jr. of Vernon, Hank Sanders and his wife Bertha of Milford, PA, and Ida Schauger of Montague and her many nieces and nephews, and her former husband Robert S. Keppler.


Relatives and friends will be received on Friday August 24th from 10AM to time of service at 12:30PM at the Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home 241 Rt. 94, Vernon, NJ (GPS use 1 Vanderhoof Court), and interment to follow at Glenwood Cemetery.
