Highland Lakes, NJ: Brenda Joyce Baxter(nee Marut), 55 years old, died unexpectedly at home on Sunday, September 2, 2018. Born to Joseph and Elinor Marut in Passaic, NJ, she has lived in the Highland Lakes section of Vernon Twp., NJ for several years.

Brenda was a doting grandmother and a friend to all she met. She was known for always giving of herself to help others.

Brenda is the beloved wife since 2009 of Fred Baxter of Highland Lakes, NJ. Devoted mother of Nicole Yost of Highland Lakes, NJ and Ashley Hammerle of PA. Loving grandmother of Jade Meyers, Richie Yost and Kiera Faley. Dear sister of Patricia Capone. Cherished daughter of Joseph and Elinor Marut of Wallington, NJ. Sister of Abraham Marut and Joseph Marut, neice of Johannah Kelter and long time friend Dawn Knowlden and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive their friends at Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94(1 Vanderhoof Court for GPS), Vernon, NJ on Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 9 to 10:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial service will be at Our Lady of Fatima RC Church, Highland Lakes, NJ on Saturday at 11:00 AM. Cremation is private.
