Anna Grabowski, age 88, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday November 14, 2018 at Milford Manor in West Milford, NJ, where she was undergoing rehabilitation after ankle surgery. Born in Jersey City, NJ to the late Anthony and Valerie (Kowalska) Grabowski,

Anna grew up in Passaic where she graduated from Passaic High School. She has always lived in New Jersey, residing most recently with the wonderful ladies and Sisters of the Daughters of Charity at St. Joseph’s Rest Home in Paterson, where she was always ready to lend an ear, offer encouragement, or lead a sing-along at a holiday party. Anna was an integral part of the family grocery/butcher business for most of her life. During her retirement she devoted much of her time to her extended family.

She was predeceased by her sisters, Maryann Kotowski and Lillian Grabowski; and her brother, Ted Grabowski. Anna is survived by her nieces Janet Kubik and her husband Henry of Vernon, Ellen Kotowski and Celine Torres, Westerville, Ohio; nephew Robert Kotowski of Clifton, NJ; and grandnieces and nephews, Anthony, Alena, Lisa, Christopher, Elaine, Michael, Matthew, Emily and Mark.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday December 21, 2018 at St. Francis de Sales Church in Vernon. Interment will be private.
