Obituary for Karen "Mick" Schneider
Karen “Mick” A. Schneider, age 73 of the McAfee section of Vernon, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 9th, 2019, at home and surrounded by her family.
Born in Franklin, NJ to the late Wilbur and Effie Smith, Karen has been a lifelong resident of McAfee. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Predeceased by her parents; brothers Junior, Moses, Carl, and Linden Smith; and sisters Marie Cooper, Sara Kolbocker, and Vera Decker, Karen is survived by her husband of 55 years, Edward Schneider; sons Ed Jr. and his wife Lorri of McAfee and Ron and wife Stacey Schneider of Oak Ridge, NJ; her “favorite” daughter Sharon Tierney of Hewitt, NJ; and three grandchildren, Allison, Marissa, and Julia Schneider.
Visitation for Karen will be Friday, January 11th, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94, Vernon, NJ 07462. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice Foundation, 99 Sparta Avenue, Newton, NJ 07860 or the ALS Association, PO Box 37022, Boone, IA 50037-022.
