Obituary for Johanna M. Quedens

Vernon Twp., NJ: Johanna Maria Quedens(nee Lohle), 99 years old, died after a short illness at her home on Tuesday, May 15, 2012. Born to Georg and Maria Lohle in Essen, Germany, she came to the United States in 1952 settling in Washington Heights, NY and then she lived in Bergenfield, NJ before moving to Vernon Twp., NJ 4 years ago.

Mrs. Quedens worked as a secretary for Centrico Inc. in Northvale, NJ for many years before retiring in 1977. She was a doting mother, grandmother and great grandmother and took great joy in knitting as well as being a member of the German Club, Fidelio.

Mrs. Quedens was predeceased by her husband and a grandson, Garrett Quedens and is the devoted mother of Gary Quedens of Cropwell, AL and Helga Hentschel of Vernon Twp., NJ. Loving grandmother of Renate Rapp, Gerhard Hentschel and Guerin Quedens. Great grandmother of Christof Rapp, Garrett Quedens and Garred Quedens. Dear sister of Norbert Lohle.

Private cremation arrangements are by Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94, Vernon, NJ. Memorial gifts to the Arthritis Foundation, NJ Chapter, Suite 201, 200 Middlesex Turnpike, Iselin, NJ 08830-2000, www.arthritis.org.
