Obituary for Frank James "Sam" Nunziato

Vernon Twp., NJ: Frank J. “Sam” Nunziato, 85 years old, died peacefully after a short illness at his residence surrounded by his family on Thursday, December 8, 2016. Born in Edgewater, NJ, he spent most of his life there before moving to Vernon Twp., NJ 22 years ago.

Sam served with the United States Army during the Korean War and then worked as a truck driver for many years for Road Con Trucking in Fair Lawn, NJ before retiring in 2005. He enjoyed being outdoors by the water and was best known for being the Hudson River Crabber for many years of crabbing in Edgewater.

Sam was predeceased by his wife, Rosemary Nunziato(2004) and was the devoted father of Sharon Barrett and her husband, John of Vernon Twp., NJ and Nancy Kalipetis and her husband, Andrew of Vernon Twp., NJ. Loving grandfather of Robert, Andrew and his partner, Lorretta, Noelle and Gabriella. Great grandfather of Harrison. Dear brother of Charles Nunziato of Jackson, NJ, Michael Nunziato of Little Ferry, NJ and Mary Cilkowski of Bradenton, FL. Cherished by many nieces and nephews.
