Obituary for Joseph Calvin Osborne
Franklin, NJ: Joseph Calvin Osborne, 85 years old, died after a short illness at his residence on Sunday, May 21, 2017. Born to John C. and Marion E. Osborne in Newburgh, NY, he had lived in several places including Clearwater, FL and Port Leydon, NY before moving to Franklin, NJ in 2015.
Joseph served with the United States Navy during the Korean War and then worked as a grinder for Bayer Corp. in Haledon, NJ for 33 years retiring in 1993. He was a member of the Lowville, NY American Legion and enjoyed playing guitar, country music, old movies, NASCAR and cherished his World War II Memorabilia.
Joseph is predeceased by his wife, Joan Marie Osborne(2015) and is the devoted father of Thomas A. Osborne and his wife, Vashta of Glenfield, NY, John C. Osborne and his wife, Franceen of West Milford, NJ, Michael J. Osborne and his wife, Barbara of Franklin, NJ, David J. Osborne and his wife, Jolanta of Colts Neck, NJ, Nancy Lynn Widrick and her husband, Rickey of Glenfield, NY and Tracey Ann Bucher of Fredericksburg, VA. Cherished by 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Richard Osborne of Wanaque, NJ and Jane Preputin of Wanaque, NJ.
Cremation services by F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main Street, Franklin, NJ. Memorial service will be Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 2:30 PM at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 246 Woodport Road, Sparta, NJ 07871. Memorial gifts to Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, 99 Sparta Avenue, Newton, NJ 07860 would be appreciated.
