Obituary for Annamarie Kohl (Koehn)

River Edge, NJ: Annamarie Kohl(nee Koehn), 92 years old, died peacefully in Newton on Thursday, December 28, 2017. Born to Albert and Katherine Koehn in The Bronx, NY, she had lived in New York City, NY for many years and then moved to River Edge, NJ for 58 years before moving to Newton, NJ

Annamarie was a graduate of Yorkville High School in New York City, NY. She worked as a saleswoman for Sterns Department Store in Paramus, NJ from 1960 to 1982. She was a long time member of the River Edge Women’s Club, an avid bowler and gardener, enjoyed arts and crafts, Christmas time and was a collector of Raggedy Ann dolls and memorabilia.

Annamarie is predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Ernest Kohl(2016) and is the devoted mother of Karen Benning and her husband, Matthew of Highland Lakes, NJ and Robert Kohl and his wife, June of Leesburg, VA. Dearest identical twin sister of Valeska Lau and her husband, Chris of River Edge, NJ. Loving grandmother of Mark, Luke, John, Dean and Eric. Aunt of Chris, Valeska and Suzanne.

The family will receive their friends at Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94(1 Vanderhoof Court for GPS), Vernon, NJ on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 3-6 PM. Funeral service to follow at the funeral home at 6:00 PM. Cremation is private. Memorial gifts to Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, 99 Sparta Avenue, Newton, NJ 07860 would be appreciated.
