Franklin Borough; Anna B. Serben, 92, passed away Tuesday May 8, 2018. Anna was born on January 21, 1926 in Franklin, NJ to Joseph and Helen (nee Durina) Vadovsky and was a lifelong resident of Franklin. Anna was predeceased by her parents, her husband of 65 years Michael (2012), and her sister Betty. She is survived by her sons Michael of West Milford, NJ, Mark of Randolph, NJ and their spouses, and cousins and their spouses.
A graduate of Franklin High School, she retired from Ames Rubber Corporation in Hamburg, NJ in 1991 after 29 years of service. Prior to that, she worked for Selective Insurance Company in Branchville, NJ. She was a member of Immaculate Conception R.C. Church in Franklin. She enjoyed hosting and cooking for family gatherings and feeding the wildlife that trekked through her backyard for their daily meals. She was loved by the staff at Sunrise Assisted Living in Randolph, NJ where she lived the final 5 years of her life.
Relatives and friends will be received at the F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main Street, Franklin, NJ on Monday, 14 May, 2018 from 3-7 PM. Funeral from the funeral home on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 9 AM. Funeral service at Immaculate Conception RC Church, Franklin, NJ at 10 AM. Interment to follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Hardyston Twp., NJ. Memorial gifts to Father John’s Animal House, 50 Father John’s Lane, Lafayette, NJ 07848 would be appreciated.
