Vernon Township; John L. Tremont, 55, passed away at his residence on Saturday May 12, 2018. John was born on December 24, 1962 in Syracuse, NY to Samuel and Rose (nee Pronesti) Tremont. John has been a resident of Vernon Township the last 23 years.

John graduated from the University of Buffalo (BS Industrial Engineering) and Syracuse University (MBA). John was an Information Technology Manager for United Parcel Service (UPS) for 32 years. He was passionate about delivering innovation to improve UPS business processes. John was an avid New York Yankees fan, enjoyed all the Syracuse university sports, and was a volunteer for the Little League Baseball in Vernon.

John was predeceased by his father Samuel Tremont.

John is survived by his loving wife, Julie (nee Reighter) Tremont, and his cherished children, Luke R. and Sophia M. Tremont, and his mother, Rose Tremont, and his four brothers, Mark Tremont and his wife Jean of Clifton Park, NY, Samuel Tremont and his wife Susan of St. Louis, MO, Michael Tremont and his wife Lucia of Syracuse, NY and Paul Tremont of Syracuse, NY and his many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends will be received on Thursday May 17th from 4-7PM at the Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home 241 Rt. 94, Vernon, NJ (GPS use 1 Vanderhoof Ct.) funeral service on Friday May 18th at 10AM at the funeral home. Cremation service is private. In lieu of flowers, donations to the First Presbyterian Church of Sussex 21 Unionville Ave., Sussex, NJ 07461 would be appreciated.
