Beemerville: Daisy M. Matthews, 73, passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2018. Daisy was born on November 20, 1944 in Newton, NJ to Theron and Rebecca (nee Sherred) Hyatt. Daisy was a lifelong resident of Beemerville, NJ.

Daisy was a homemaker and took great pride in her family. After raising her children, Daisy was a nanny for several families in the Wantage area. Daisy was a 1962 graduate of Sussex High School and a past Elder at Beemerville Presbyterian Church.

Daisy was predeceased by her son, Mark Matthews, in 2012 and a sister, Charlotte Clouse, in 2016.

Daisy is the beloved and cherished wife of Reginald, a loving and devoted mom of Reginald Matthews Jr. and partner, Trish Hudspith of Kenvil, and Victoria Stohr and her husband, Jim of Frankford, and her five grandchildren, Ryan and Cassandra Stohr and Rebecca, Thomas, and Jessica Matthews, and one great granddaughter. She is also survived by her brother, George Hyatt, and many nieces and nephews.


Relatives and friends will be received on Thursday August 9th from 4-8PM at Ferguson Funeral Home 27 Third Street, Sussex, NJ. All are invited to attend funeral services at the Beemerville Presbyterian Church 226 County Highway 519, Wantage, NJ on Friday August 10th at 10AM, committal services at
Beemerville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Beemerville Presbyterian Church would be appreciated.
