Obituary for Carol M. A. Jaccodine (Coyle)

HARDYSTON –Carol Jaccodine (nee Coyle) passed away on Tuesday, 10/3/2018 at Morristown Memorial Center, after a short illness. Her husband, Tom, was by her side. Born in Weehawken, NJ on Dec. 12, 1945, Carol resided in Hardyston for the past 45 years.

Carol received both her B.A. and M.A. from Montclair State College (now university). Upon graduation, Carol worked as a speech teacher in a variety of elementary and high schools, serving the majority of her teaching career at the Hamburg School in Hamburg, NJ. After retiring, Carol continued to work as a Speech Teacher at Willowglen Academy for a few additional years. Combing her love of working with senior citizens and children, Carol served as the pen pal coordinator of Earth Angels for the last three years.

Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She is known for her candor, her strength, and her desire to genuinely help others. She genuinely loved to teach and to help her students communicate their thoughts and feelings more effectively. Her love of travel led to her working as a part time outside sales travel agent at AAA for several years while employed as a teacher. Although she traveled with her family throughout the United States, her favorite place to be was Schoodic Point in Acadia National Park, Maine. Carol also enjoyed going the theatre, the movies, and cooking. Most of all, she loved spending time with and supporting her children and grandchildren.

Carol was predeceased by her parents Howard Coyle and Catherine (La Sasso). She is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Thomas, of Hardyston, her daughters, Michelle Jordan and her husband, Ben, of Windham, Maine, grandsons, Elliot and Nathan Jordan and Kristen Jaccodine of Hardyston, by her sister Diane Marzocchi, her nephew Brent; and by a special family friend, Pam Olysn of Byram. She is also survived by her sister in law Dianne and her husband Dr. Raymond Monico of Succasunna and their children Jason and his wife Liz, Jeffrey, and Jessica and her husband Justin.

Friends and Family are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Jude the Apostle R.C. Church in Hamburg on Saturday, Oct. 6th at 9:30AM. Interment will be private.

Funeral arrangements and care were entrusted by F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main St., Franklin, NJ. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Condolences may be sent directly to the family.
