Condolence From: Frank Bookholt
Condolence: Needless to say I was shocked when Jim mentioned his dad had passed away. Over the summer a bunch of old friends spent a day with the Van Put’s on Highland Lake and we all were pleasantly surprised to see Mrs. and Mr. show up for picnic. It was great reminiscing about the times growing up in CliffWood Lake. Mr. V was very active in following our sporting events as we all worked our way through Vernon High. The day after games he would make his way stopping by the Sweetser’s and our house to talk about it. An honest man he would tell it like it is, good or bad. He’s a great guy and will be missed by all of us. RIP Mr. V until we all meet again in those bleachers in the sky!
