Condolence From: Rich Jacobs
Condolence: We are sad to hear of Rodgers passing he will be missed. Our deepest condolences go out to the family. I had the pleasure of living across the street from Rodger and Joyce for a few years. I would see Rodger outside every weekend washing his truck while I was mowing my lawn, I would hear " hey what's in the brown bottle" I would reply " beer" he would say " got one for me" I would walk over with one. Janice you are so right Rodger was definitely the popular dad as well as a great neighbor and friend.

Condolence: The myth the man the legend Pop Pop! Those whose lives he touched are forever blessed with his wonderful sense of humor and great nature. Even when I was young he was the popular dad in the neighborhood, he'd pile us all in the back of his truck and take us to DQ. Of course it was because he wanted his banana split or hot fudge Sunday 😉 always there for me as a child and even adult. The best dad, pop pop, father in law, and best friend anyone could ask for. Kevin Roger Matthews will proudly carry on your name pop. I will forever cherish all the memories of you from childhood to adult. From catching umbrellas in the ocean to zooming around in a way to small gokart 😜 I still can't believe your gone. I hope your playing golf in heaven with Jimmy 💕 you will be forever missed.
Your daughter Janice

Condolence From: Margie and Charlie Card
Condolence: We camped with Roger and Joyce many times in Stroudsburg, PA back in the 80's. We had so much fun and I really missed those days. We moved to Colorado in the mid-nineties and sadly lost touch with Roger and Joyce. He was such a great person. Always had a lot of mischief (the good kind) up his sleeve. Have thought of him often with the fondest of memories. Our prayers and sympathy go out to Joyce and the girls.
