Obituary for Isobel Ray Saunderson (Munro)

Vernon Twp., NJ: Isobel Ray Saunderson(nee Munro). 88 years old, died peacefully at home on Saturday, January 26, 2019. Born to William W and Elizabeth C Munro, in Edinburgh, Scotland, she moved to Belleville Ontario, Canada at the age of 16. She later immigrated to the United States, in 1951 settling in New York City, where she met and married her husband Norman. Together they raised a family in Paramus, NJ. After living in the same home for 57 years she moved to Vernon Twp., NJ over a year ago with her son and daughter in law. Isobel worked a few different jobs over the years before deciding to be a dedicated homemaker. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She took great joy in family, cooking, baking, reading, sewing, knitting, puzzles of all sorts including crosswords, word finds. Two of her favorite shows were Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.

Isobel is predeceased by her husband, Norman Saunderson(2002), a son, Eric Bruce Saunderson(1995) and a brother, William Munro. She was the devoted mother of Valerie Gerard and her husband, Kenneth of Pinellas Park, FL and William Saunderson and his wife, Kathie of Vernon Twp., NJ. Forever missed by her 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Cherished sister of Elizabeth (Betty) Ineson, of Aurora, ONT, Canada. And Edna Yake, of Alberta, Canada.
