John was a pillar in the businesses where he worked. He was a wealth of knowledge and good advice, both which he delivered with a calm, confident and eloquent manner. He was never shy to get hands-on or tackle any tough situation. He inspired confidence in those he worked with and encouraged them to be their best. He was a “go-to” guy and he will be deeply and sincerely missed.

I was absolutely heartbroken to hear this news of John’s passing. John was one of my father’s best friends. When my brother, Chris and I were little - we would often go to John and Nancy’s house with our parents - play with Budkis, who often wouldn’t eat the potato chip until John told him it was time. One of my favorite memories was John being at our house, he looked at my brother, who couldn’t have been older than 10 and said “where’s your game face?” And my brother looked at him, not knowing what to say and said “I left it inside!” The “tough” exterior was nothing because the kindness and love he showed my dad was unparalleled. He will definitely be missed. I wish I could be there to celebrate him. Much love to Nancy at this difficult time. - Elizabeth Errick
