Obituary for Alfred James Sanders Jr.
Wantage Twp., NJ: Alfred James Sanders, Jr., 77 years old, died peacefully at Andover Subacute and Rehabilitation Center on Thursday, July 4, 2019. Born to Alfred J., Sr. and Vivian Sanders in Newton, NJ, he has been a lifelong resident of Sussex County, NJ.
Alfred worked as a machinist for Delford Industries in Middletown, NY for many years before retiring. He was a member of the Sussex United Methodist Church and the Beemerville Rod and Gun Club. Alfred was an avid hunter and fisherman and took great joy in family vacations especially trips to Florida.
Alfred is the beloved husband of Marjorie Sanders(nee DeYoung) of Wantage Twp., NJ. Devoted father of Koren Burke and her husband, David, the 4th of Southbury, CT. Loving grandfather of David Burke, the 5th. Dear brother of Paul Sanders and his wife, Brenda of Greeley, PA and Stanley Sanders of South Carolina. Cherished uncle of Holly, Heather, Amy, Amber, Heidi and Raymond.
The family will receive their friends at Ferguson Funeral Home, 27 Third Street, Sussex, NJ on Monday, July 8, 2019 from 10 to 12 Noon. Graveside service to follow at Beemerville Cemetery, Wantage Twp., NJ. Memorial gifts to Sussex United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 244, Sussex, NJ would be greatly appreciated.
