Obituary for Carmella Giello
Carmella R. “Carmen” Giello, age 78 of Glenwood, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 26th, 2019 surrounded by her family at the Morristown Medical Center.
Born in Newark to the late Angelo and Josephine (Gibilisco) Romano, Carmen has been a resident of Glenwood for the past fifty-three years.
Predeceased by her parents and sisters Antonette Legg and Marion Robison, Carmen is survived by her children, Donna Giello of Bangor, PA, Angel and her husband John Stearns of Hamburg, and Salvatore and wife Laura Giello of Warwick, NY; sister, Mary Romano of Matawan; grandchildren Heather and husband Jonathan Patire of Milford, PA, Brian Birchenough, Nicole Donahue, Jessie Voelker, Hallie Armstrong, and Brittany, Dominic, and Juliana Giello. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Caroline and Jack Patire, and Stella and Kroy Voelker.
A funeral service for Carmen will be held on Tueday, October 29th, 2019 at 11AM at the Ferguson—Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94 (One Vanderhoof Court for GPS), Vernon, NJ 07462. Friends and relatives are welcome to gather at 10:30AM. Burial will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
