Obituary for Marine M. Williams
Marine M. Williams, age 62 of Vernon, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 11th, 2019 at her home.
Born in St. Mary, Jamaica, Marine came to the United States in 1984 and lived in East Orange, eventually settling in Vernon thirty years ago.
Active in her church, Marine was a deacon at the Hope Church in Wantage. She was known for being kind and loving; she always loved helping people. Marine was an avid gardener. She enjoyed growing flowers, fruits, and vegetables.
Predeceased by her parents, Beryl L Hinds and Harold A DaCosta. Marine is survived by her loving husband, Errol Williams; son Alastair Williams and his girlfriend, Katlynn Lordy, of Vernon; brothers, Lincoln DaCosta and his wife Jacqueline of GA, and Michael DaCosta of Jamaica; and sister, Lorris Brown and husband James of Queens, NY.
A visitation for Marine will be held on Friday. December 20th, 2019 from 6-9PM at the Ferguson—Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94 (One Vanderhoof Court for GPS), Vernon, New Jersey 07462. Marine’s funeral service will be on Saturday, December 21st, 2019 at 10AM at the Hope Church in Wantage. Burial will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery. Flowers would be appreciated, but anyone looking to donate in Marine’s honor is welcome to make memorial donations to the Hope Church.
