Tony was the youngest brother of my dear friend Bob Murphy. I have been like family to the Murphys for over 50 years.
Each one very special to me. Tony was a wonderful, husband and father - a friend to many - a big heart, instant friendly smile for everyone. The Murphys were a close knit family who loved to laugh , tell stories of their childhood pranks.
One story I remember hearing : When the brothers wanted to all go to the movies, Tony being about 7 and the cutest little guy , was sent to the corner by himself and ask people for a dime for the movies.....When he had enough for all his brothers
they would spend the Saturday afternoon at the movies down town Sussex. Tony and his brothers laughed at this story so many times. Tony, being the last of the Murphys makes this passing even more sad. The memories, stories of a loving family . But we all will remember the guy from Hamburg with the genuine smile, his wit his generosity - who loved his family, and his church. May all the Murphys Rest In Peace.
