When my wife Bette, Alice's sister, passed away in March 2018 I promised her I would keep in touch with Alice after Bette passed away. At first I said to myself what will I say and how often should I call so I am not a pest(Bette is laughing at that one). Well over the 2 and a half years I found that her and I managed to have a lot to say. We joked about our aches and pains both growing old, we talked about our children, both sharing how we missed them and of course being parents worried about them, Alice even would share a secret that she found in dealing with a specific pain that helped me. Over time I wasn't keeping in touch with her we were sharing growing old and helping each other cope with the feeling and reality. She is a great I mean great lady who had a wonderful laugh and gentle spirit just like her sister....the Sunday(that is when I called each week) before she passed I said I am coming down next Saturday, OK?, her reply was I will be happy to see you but you do know I am not capable to entertain you as much as I would like and I said I will be coming to entertain you young lady....needless to say she passed before I got to see her in person, and I felt guilty of that but now I think perhaps it was her again saying Walt it is my time and just be here at the service and come heck or high water and good Lord willing I will be there young lady....God Bless you and thanks for all the time we spent on the phone and I will miss you and Bette so much one more great voice added to the choir up in high young lady fly high....walt

Our favorite memories of Alice are telling us stories about her childhood and life and our "pizza parties" over the last few years she was housebound. Alice was so sweet and fun. We will miss her deeply sending our sympathy and love to her family. Love, Aunt Donna, Uncle Bob, James and Brian.
