Obituary for Carol L. Ando

Carol L. Ando, age 67 of Ogdensburg, passed away suddenly on Monday, December 28th, 2020 at the Newton Medical Center.
Born in Newton to Eleanor (Dunn) and the late Stephen Macko, Carol was a lifelong resident of Ogdensburg. Active in her community, Carol was a devoted parishioner of St. Thomas of Aquin, where she was a member of the Rosary Society. She was a former teachers’ aide with the Ogdensburg Board of Education, and had been active in the PTA. Carol was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her grandchildren were her source of strength during her many battles with cancer.
Predeceased by her daughter, Michele Ando, and her father, Stephen Macko, Carol is survived by her loving husband, Jim Ando; son Jim and his wife Jeanette Ando of Stillwater; daughters Jen Ando and her partner Brian Doherty of Franklin and Patti and her husband Ed Muldoon of Newton; grandchildren E.J. and Megan Muldoon, and Abby, Alexa, and Maddy Ando; brother, Bill Macko and his partner June Robbins; as well as a niece, Brittany Macko all of Lafayette.
A “walk-through” visitation will be held on Friday, January 1st, 2021 from 1-5PM at the F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main Street, Franklin, NJ 07416. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the funeral home will only be able to accommodate 50 people at one time. A Funeral Mass for Carol will be on Saturday, January 2nd, 10:30 AM at the St. Thomas of Aquin RC Church in Ogdensburg. The church has a limited capacity of 32 people at this time. All visitors to the church and funeral home are required to wear masks. Burial in the church cemetery will follow.
