Kenneth A Wiik, age 58 of Highland Lakes, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at his home.
Born in New York City to Aino (Viitala) and the late Boris Wiik, Kenny grew up in River Vale, NJ and settled in Highland Lakes in 1987. A graduate from Upsala College, Kenny was a systems analyst for AGO Insurance Software, Inc. for over 30 years. Kenny was active in his community. As an Eagle Scout, he was in the Brotherhood of the Order of the Arrow. He was also a life member and past chief of the Highland Lakes Fire Department, and a Senior Fire Instructor at the Sussex County Public Safety Training Academy.
Predeceased by his father, Kenny is survived by his loving wife, Donna (Brown) Wiik; sons Andrew and William Wiik, all of Highland Lakes; grandson, Caden Wiik; sister, Diane Nin and her husband Hector of Allex, TX; and his mother, Aino Wiik of River Vale.

My dear cousin, really a "twin brother" in many ways, there are no words to express of the sorrow at the moment.
I hope you are with God now!
Our thoughts are with you all, Donna, Andy, William, Aino and Diane - and all of you others, Ken's close ones!

Our Warmest Condolences,
Erkki, Kerttu (aunt) and Helvi (aunt)

I worked with Ken at AGO for 24 years before retiring. He was a good friend and I got to know Donna as well. We shared many good conversations. He was a true gentleman. He kept me updated about the bear activity in his neighborhood and whose garbage cans they got into! My thoughts are with Donna and the boys.

Years ago, when I first started with AGO, Ken and I had to fly to Oregon to set up a new client. I remember Valerie Ryder saying to me when I told her that I was afraid of flying, don’t worry Ken will take care of you. While we were there, he shared treasured memories of Donna and him on vacation and you could see how much he cared . It was a long flight back . Had to agree with Valerie, yep, he did.
We shared the same birthdate and the same love of the salt bagels that AGO brought in for the occasion.
