Vernon Twp., NJ: Kristen Kathleen Bunel, 50 years old, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Newton Medical Center, Newton, NJ after a short illness. Born in Brunswick, ME, she had lived in Dumont, NJ and Port Orange, FL before moving to Vernon Twp., NJ 13 years ago.
Kristen had worked as an office manager for Frank Colasurdo Architects in Budd Lake, NJ. She enjoyed Rock concerts, New York Giants football and most of all doting on her son, Brandon.
Kristen is predeceased by her grandparents, Donald and Adair Drexler and an uncle, Archie Drexler and is the beloved mother of Brandon Lockhart and his girlfriend, Nicole Szeredy of Vernon Twp., NJ. Loving daughter of Robyn Adair of Port Orange, FL. Cherished niece of Donair Karkkainen and her husband, Seppo of Bergenfield, NJ and Beverly Drexler of Port Orange, FL. Dear cousin of Keith Drexler of Tampa, FL, Todd Drexler of San Antonio, TX, Brent Drexler of Port Orange, FL and Amy Karkkainen of Edgewater, NJ. Also survived by many close friends.
Private cremation services under the direction of Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94, Vernon, NJ. A Celebration of Kristen’s Life will be scheduled for a later date.
