Lorraine (Lorry) S. Magazeno passed on March 11, 2021 after her long and courageous battle with cancer.
Lorry grew up in the Bronx, New York and in her twenties moved to New Jersey. An avid reader, she loved to sing and dance and play golf, she liked good wine, loved having lunch with her friends and shopping trips with her daughter, Julie. She is remembered as a caring and thoughtful friend who never forgot a birthday or special occasion. Lorry was a strong willed and determined woman with a gentle heart. Most of all, she adored and treasured her family and close friends.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Adrienne Quigley, her first husband Dennis Eustace, her second husband Thomas J. Magazeno Sr. who was the love of her life, and her son Thomas J. Magazeno, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Julianne (Magazeno) Stainton and her husband Douglas Stainton of Yankee Lake, NY; her son Thomas Roy Magazeno and his wife Camelia Magazeno of Woodland Hills, CA; her daughter Catherine Mary (Magazeno) Owens and her husband Andy Owens of Pequannack, NJ; and her sister Adrienne Donnelly of Norwalk, CT. She was the proud grandmother of Maia, Thomas and Victoria Magazeno. She also leaves behind many other family and friends as she was loved by all that knew her.
The family plans to have a private gathering and service to celebrate Lorraine’s life sometime in the future.
Lorraine has requested, out of appreciation to Habitat Newburgh for allowing her daughter, Julie, the Fund Development Manager there, to provide home care to her for these past several months, that any memorial donations be made to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh.
