Obituary for Mavis Monell

Mavis Monell, age 82 of Hardyston, passed away on Wednesday, April 14th, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her family.
Born in Blackburn, England to the late James and Edith (Cocker) Monaghan, Mavis came to the United States in 1960. She lived in Pequannock before settling in Hardyston in 1977. Mavis worked for many years as a cashier at the A&P in Sussex.
Predeceased by her husband, David Monell; sister, Joan Gregson; brother, Raymond Monaghan; and stepson, Bruce Monell, Mavis is survived by her loving partner Ernest Pulcini of Hamburg; her children Michele Fackler and husband Ken of FL, Paul Burger and wife Nancy of Wayne, and Carol Thomas and husband James Hon of Denville; grandchildren Amanda Kaplan and Alex Fackler, Alexa Bodall, Nicholas and Christopher Burger, and Matthew, Michael, and Jackson Thomas; as well as four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her step-children, John and Sharon Monell, Pam Michaluk, Carol and Gary Chiusano, and Theresa Monell.
A memorial service for Mavis will be held on Sunday, June 6th, 2021; 11:30am at the Ogdensburg Presbyterian Church. Arrangements are under the direction of the F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main Street, Franklin, NJ 07416. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, 99 Sparta Avenue, Newton, NJ 07860.
