Obituary for Joseph John Schweizer
Franklin, NJ: Joseph John Schweizer, 82 years old, passed away peacefully at Karen Ann Quinlan Home for Hospice in Fredon Twp., NJ on Monday, May 31, 2021 after a short illness. Born to Edward and Katherine Schweizer in Paterson, NJ, he had lived in Clifton, NJ then Haskell, NJ for 48 years before moving to Franklin, NJ over a year ago.
Joseph worked as a delivery truck driver for Ikon Business Solutions in Fairfield, NJ for many years retiring in 2002. He took great joy in jigsaw puzzles, watching TV and volunteering to help his fellow neighbors.
Joseph is predeceased by his sister, Margaret Watkins and 2 brothers, Edward Schweizer, Jr. and Michael Schweizer and is the beloved husband for 59 years of Marie L. Schweizer(nee Petrera) of Franklin, NJ. Devoted father of Russell Schweizer and his wife, Wendy of Hamburg, NJ and Roy Schweizer and his wife, Anna of Chambersburg, PA. Loving grandfather of Alex, Ryan, Autumn, Jason, Evan, Brianna, Christian, Obi and Liliana. Great grandfather of Alivia.
Graveside services under the direction of F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main Street, Franklin, NJ will be Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa, NJ. Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers to Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, 99 Sparta Avenue, Newton, NJ 07860 would be greatly appreciated.
