Obituary for Charles A. Munroe

Charles A. Munroe, age 83 of Sparta, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 29th, 2021 at his home with his family by his side.
Born in Astoria, Queens to the late Charles and Agnes (Stephenson) Munroe, Charles grew up there and lived in Jefferson before settling in Sparta three years ago. Charles was a supervisor for the Russell and Stoll Company, prior to his retirement. While in Jefferson he founded the Jefferson Township Recreational Ice Hockey League.
Predeceased by his parents and a brother, Albert Munroe, Charles is survived by his loving wife of sixty-four years, Margarita (Emmert) Munroe; sons Charles and Paul R. Munroe of Sparta and Eric J. Munroe and his wife Dawn of Boonton; grandchildren Jenny Sisca, Charlie Munroe, and Lisa Witt; as well as four great-grandchildren Sydney, Bradie, Avery, and Callie.
A visitation for Charles will be held on Friday, July 2nd, 2021, 4-8PM at the F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main Street, Franklin, NJ 07416. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday, July 3rd, 10AM at the Our Lady of the Lake RC Church in Sparta. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice Foundation, 99 Sparta Avenue, Newton, NJ 07860.
