Obituary for Carol Patricia Fairhurst (MeKeel)
Carol Patricia Fairhurst(nee MeKeel), 84 years old, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 3, 2021. Born to the late Edward and Eva MeKeel in Yonkers, NY, she had lived in Franklin, NJ before moving to Hardyston Twp., NJ in 1984.
Carol worked as a waitress for many years and retired from Bernard’s Red Mill in Sussex, NJ in 1998. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, doing crosswords and Bingo and indulging in chocolate.
Carol is predeceased by her husband, Charles E. Fairhurst, Sr.(2015), her son, Glenn Meyers(2002) and 2 brothers, Dave and Edward MeKeel and is the beloved mother of Kenneth Meyers of Franklin, NJ, Eva Marie Aupperlee and her husband, Leonard of Dandridge, TN, Maryjane Welker and her husband, William Welker, Sr. of Hudson, FL, Charles E. Fairhurst, Jr. and his wife, Carrie of Hardyston Twp., NJ and Amy Winters and her husband, Lane of Hudson, FL. Cherished by 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
The family will receive their friends at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main Street, Franklin, NJ on Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 6-9 PM. Funeral service will be at the funeral home on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Sussex, NJ.
