Obituary for Robert Walter Goritski
Punta Gorda, FL: Robert Goritski passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021 at Shorepoint Health in Port Charlotte, FL at the age of 51after battling cancer.
Originally from Cliffwood Lake, Vernon Twp., NJ, he was a 1989 Sussex County Vo-Tech Graduate where he also ran Cross Country. Robert was a long-time member of the Stockholm United Methodist Church and was a carpenter and landscaper by trade. He was also active with the Cliffwood Lake swim team.
Predeceased by his father, Walter Goritski in 1993, he is survived by his devoted mother, Margaret Goritski of Cliffwood Lake, his loving wife, Christina (Raftery) Goritski and 2 sons, Johnathan and Christopher of Barry Lakes, NJ. Dear brother of Linda and Darryl Storms of Highland Lakes, NJ, uncle of Jason Mitchell of Highland Lakes, Jeremy Mitchell of Kansas, Michelle Storms of Highland Lakes and 2 grand nephews, Demetri and Dylan along with many other family and friends. He will be truly missed.
The family will receive their friends at Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94(1 Vanderhoof Court for GPS), Vernon, NJ on Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 9 – 11 AM. Funeral service at 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa, NJ.
