David Mendez Maldonado
Age 82 of Franklin NJ, passed away peacefully at home to be with our Lord on Thursday, December 23rd, 2021, Papa David as he was lovingly called, lived in Paterson NJ all his life before retiring with his wife Juana to Puerto Rico. He enjoyed sitting on the terrace listen to Spanish folk music every Sunday with his special buddy Brownie, his pet companion by his side. He was always known, to enjoy a good game of Dominos.
He worked as a garment inspector for over 30 years in Paterson NJ, and was chief inspector before retiring to Puerto Rico. He returned to the states with Juana in 2020 to be with his family.
Papa David is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Juana Cintron Sanchez; daughters Noemi Mendez from Alabama and Maria Mendez from Vineland. Son Jaime Mendez pre-deceased.
His stepdaughter Lydia & husband Lee from Lincoln park NJ. His granddaughter Ebony & husband Israel from Ogdensburg NJ. His granddaughters Grace, Kristina, Arlene & Desiree. Grandson Alex and 4 great grandchildren, Immanuel , Josiah , Jezreel and Samarah.
Papa David will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of David's Life will be held on Saturday, January 15th, 2022, 11:30AM at the Abundant Life Worship Center, 103 Jackson Avenue, Lincoln Park, NJ 07035
