Obituary for Doris Mae Netzer (Moore)
Vernon Twp., NJ: Doris Mae Netzer, 87 years old, passed away peacefully at Newton Medical Center on Sunday, March 13, 2022. Born to James and Veronica Moore in Paterson, NJ, she had lived in Paterson before moving to Vernon Twp., NJ in 1969.
Doris worked as a bookkeeper for Protection Mutual Insurance in Wayne, NJ for many years retiring in 1999. A doting wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother she enjoyed reading especially mystery novels.
Doris is predeceased by her husband, Harry F. Netzer(2013) and 2 sisters, Arlene Wasdyke(2011) and Carolyn Wachler(2021) and is the devoted mother of David Netzer and his wife, Kim of Vernon Twp., NJ, Martin Netzer and his wife, Joann of Honesdale, PA and Barbara Potsel and her husband, Mike of Highland Lakes, NJ. Cherished by 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Diane Russman of Cedar Grove, NJ. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Private cremation services under the direction of Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94, Vernon, NJ. A Celebration of Doris’s Life will be Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Doris’s home at 16 Woodland Drive, Vernon, NJ at 2 PM.
