Obituary for Joan Gertrude Overbay (Marshal)
Franklin, NJ: Joan Gertrude Overbay(nee Marshal), 86 years old, passed away at Newton Medical Center on Sunday, May 1, 2022 after a short illness. Born to Thomas and Gladys Marshal in Midland Park, NJ, she lived in Paterson, NJ before moving to Franklin, NJ almost 13 years ago.
Joan worked as a shift foreman for Van Guard Plastics in Hawthorne, NJ for many years before retiring. She took great joy in watching gameshows.
Joan is predeceased by her husband, Joseph Donald Overbay(2000) and is the devoted mother of Joseph Overbay and his wife, Angela of Franklin, NJ, Sally Overbay of Toms River, NJ and George Overbay of Franklin, NJ. Cherished by 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
The family will receive their friends at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main Street, Franklin, NJ on Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 2-5 PM. Funeral service will follow at 5:00 PM at the funeral home. Cremation is private.
