Obituary for John J. Wegman
John J. Wegman of Franklin passed away on May 1, 2022 at his home at the age of 63. He was born in Rochester, NY to Robert and Jean Wegman. John raised his family in Franklin, NJ with his loving wife, Mary of 35 years.
John coached his five kids in football, baseball, and softball, and never missed a game. John was a proud husband, dad, grandpa, and brother. He was a skilled electrician, problem solver and an authentic man- always there to lend his ear and offer advice to anyone who needed it.
John was known for his quick wit, keen sense of humor, and ability to fix anything. John was a passionate cook and loved to try new recipes. He loved cooking for family and friends at the epic Wegman parties where the conversations and music played through the early morning hours.
John was predeceased by his parents; wife Mary (Mahoney) Wegman; and sister, Susan. John is survived by his loving children, John Wegman and wife, Lynsey Stewart, of Chicago, IL, Chris Wegman and wife Ayala of NYC, Jennifer Pusateri and husband John of Jefferson, NJ, Kevin Wegman, of NJ, and Brian Wegman of NYC; grandchildren Eleanor, Margaret, Miles, Hunter, Hannah, and Joseph; and siblings David and Bill Wegman, Martha Oates, and Jane Gaugler. He is also survived by his faithful pal, Marley.
