Obituary for Dorothy Boehme

Dorothy A. Boehme, age 97, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 26th, 2022 at Bristol Glen in Newton.

Born in West New York, NJ to the late Peter and Anna (Wenzel) Boller, Dorothy had lived in Queens and Lake Carmel, before moving to Hamburg in 1991. She settled into Bristol Glen five years ago.

Active in her community, Dorothy volunteered at Newton Memorial Hospital, where she was credited with over one thousand hours of service. She also volunteered at Harvest House in Sussex, and the Sussex County Board of Elections. She had also been an active parishioner of St. Jude the Apostle RC Church, where she was a Eucharistic Minister and member of the Senior Group. Dorothy’s summer home in Lake Carmel inspired her whole family to love the outdoors and adventures exploring in the woods.

Prior to retirement, Dorothy had worked for Equifax in Queens as an office manager.

Predeceased by her husband, George Boehme in 2008, Dorothy is survived by her two daughters, Deanna Felicetta and Veronica Fitzsimmons and her husband , Stephen; one son, William Boehme and wife, Marisa, as well as seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Dorothy was the matriarch of the family.

Visitation for Dorothy will be held on Tuesday, June 28th, 2022 from 6-9PM at the Ferguson—Vernon Funeral Home, (One Vanderhoof Court for GPS) 241 Route 94, Vernon, NJ 07462.
