Obituary for Walter L Harford Jr.
Walter L. Harford, Jr., age 67 of Franklin, passed away on Monday, August 8th, 2022 at the Newton Medical Center.
Born in Montclair to the late Walter and Grace (McIntosh) Harford, Walter grew up in Hardyston and settled in Franklin 22 years ago.
Dedicated to his community, Walter had been a Franklin Borough Police Officer, prior to his retirement in 2002. He was always known for his selflessness. Walter put everyone else’s needs before his own. After retirement, Walter enjoyed boating and fishing on Beaver Lake.
Predeceased by his parents, Walter is survived by his loving wife, Debbie (Herkstroter) Williams; children Walter Harford III, Erin Rabidoux and her husband, Paris, Katie Williams, and Brent Williams and his wife, Jenn; grandchildren Paris and Roy Rabidoux; and brothers Donald and John Harford; as well as his beloved dog, Storm. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
