Obituary for Dwight D. Rome
Dwight D. Rome, age 62 of Wantage, passed away on Monday, September 19th, 2022 at his home.
Born in Sussex to Isabelle (Jones) and the late Calvin Rome, Dwight was a lifelong resident there. He had been a co-owner of the Ike’s Carwash and Discount Gas in Wantage with his family. While in high school, Dwight played tennis and was on the wrestling team. After high school, he graduated from William Paterson University. He was passionate about old cars and enjoyed listening to music.
Predeceased by his father, and a brother, Martin Rome, Dwight is survived by his mother, Isabelle Rome, of Wantage; and brother, James Rome and his wife Karen of South Carolina.
A visitation for Dwight will be held on Saturday, September 24th, 2022, from 2-5PM at the Ferguson Funeral Home, 27 Third Street, Sussex, NJ 07461. A brief funeral service will follow at 5PM at the funeral home.
