Obituary for Anthony Richard Orso Jr.
Pleasant Valley Lake, NJ: Anthony Richard Orso, Jr., 66 years old, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, October 30, 2022. Born to Anthony R. Orso, Sr. and Dolores Cirelli in Englewood, NJ, he lived in Fort Lee, NJ before moving to the Pleasant Valley Lake section of Vernon Twp., NJ 34 years ago.
Anthony received his BA in Education from William Paterson University and then was a Physics Teacher at Montclair High School for 32 years retiring in 2020. Anthony then taught chemistry part time at Sussex County Community College. He owned and operated Tony Orso USA which imported and exported tropical fish. He served as editor and was a Life Member of the North Jersey Aquarium Society and enjoyed playing baseball as well as being an accomplished handyman.
Anthony is predeceased by his father, Anthony R. Orso, Sr.(2012) and is the beloved husband for 17 years of Rosemarie Orso(nee Gaughan) of Pleasant Valley Lake. Step father of Louie Aynat of Melbourne, FL and Joanna Milliken of Burbank, FL. Loving son of Dolores Orso of Fort Lee, NJ. Dear brother of Thomas Orso of Fort Lee, NJ and Laura DeGidio of Ridgefield, NJ. Cherished uncle of Ashley, Jennifer, Michael, Tommy, Steven and Nicole.
The family will receive their friends at Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94(1 Vanderhoof Court for GPS), Vernon, NJ on Thursday, November 3, 2022 from 4-8 PM. Funeral service to follow at 8 PM. Cremation is private.
