Paterson, NJ: Angelo Della Vecchia, 93 years old, passed away at Hunterdon Hills Care Center in Glen Gardner, NJ on Friday, November 11, 2022. Born to Angelo and Rose Della Vecchia in Paterson, NJ, he was a lifelong resident of Paterson, NJ.
Angelo served with the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War and then worked as a Policeman for the Paterson Police Department for 28 years retiring in 1982. He held numerous jobs after his career and enjoyed working on cars.
Angelo is predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Pataco (2022) and brother, Albert (1999) and is the dear brother of John Della Vecchia and his wife, Betty of Sussex, NJ. Caring uncle of Greg Della Vecchia and his wife, Linda of Pine Island, NY, Lisa Diodato and her husband, Derrick of Wayne, NJ, Barbara Topinka and her husband, Bob of Philipsburg, PA, Angela Miles and her husband, Thomas of Little Falls, NJ, Nancy Pataco of Seacaucus, NJ and Kevin Della Vecchia of New Jersey. Cherished by many grandnieces and nephews.
Private cremation services under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home, 27 Third Street, Sussex, NJ. Burial of cremains to be scheduled for a later date at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa, NJ.
