Obituary for Bertha Helen Kelly (Poyer)
Dingman’s Ferry, PA: Bertha Kelly (Poyer), 77 years old, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 26, 2023. Born to Raymond and Helen Poyer in Newton, NJ, she was a Sussex County resident before moving to Dingman’s Ferry, PA 17 years ago.
Bertha was a doting mother, grandmother and great grandmother always caring for her family and enjoyed playing cards.
Bertha is predeceased by her partner, Elmer Babcock (1991), 4 brother and 2 sisters, Marvin, Violet “Sis”, Ruth, Henry, Elmer and Leonard and is the devoted mother of Bertha Williams of Dingman’s Ferry, PA, Heidi Babcock of Gloversville, NY and William Babcock and his wife, Kimberly of Dingman’s Ferry, PA. Cherished by 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and many other devoted family members. Dear sister of Shirley, May, Elizabeth, Betty and Lorretta “Reddy”.
The family will receive their friends at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main Street, Franklin, NJ on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 from 2-6 PM. Cremation will be private. A celebration of life will follow immediately after at Franklin Firehouse.
