Obituary for Elodie A. Edsall

Elodie A. Edsall, age 72 of Highland Lakes, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 14th, 2023, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Franklin to the late Bruce and Adele (Reinhard) Edsall, Elodie grew up in Franklin and briefly lived in Alaska and New Hampshire, and returning to Franklin, before settling in Highland Lakes twenty-five years ago.
Elodie worked as a school nurse for Wallkill Valley Regional High School for over thirty years prior to her retirement in 2013. A dedicated nurse, she filled her summers with private nursing for various places, including Vo-Tech’s Summer Camp and the Sussex County Correctional Facility. She also started and ran the Blood Drive at Wallkill Valley and was the past-president of the School Nurse Association. Elodie also worked as charge RN at the Sunrise House for fifteen years. Elodie was a member of the Christian Faith Fellowship Church, and she formerly served as a youth group leader for Franklin Presbyterian Church. She loved traveling, especially to Hawaii, Martha’s Vineyard, and Cape May. She also enjoyed gardening.
Predeceased by her parents and her brother, Bruce Edsall, Jr., Elodie is survived by her children, Scott Bruce and wife Lori of West Milford, Sarah Sedlock and husband Joe of Highland Lakes, and Jared Bruce of Vernon; brother, Larry Edsall; grandchildren Caroline and Jillian Bruce, Wayne, Tristan, and Isabella Elder, and Robert, Danielle, and Anthony Bruce.
A visitation for Elodie will be held on Sunday, March 19th, 2023 from 3-5PM at the Christian Faith Fellowship Church in Hardyston. A funeral service will begin at 5PM at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of the F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main Street, Franklin, NJ 07416.
