As a young man, Tony served in the Army National Guard (50th Armored Division) for ten years, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant. In 1954, Tony married Marilyn Rose Hurley, with whom he had five children: Alexander J. Tucciarone, Carol T. Bicho (David), John F. Tucciarone (Claire), Anita C. Bruton (Michael) and Annette C. For 20 plus years, Tony ran Tu-Co Plumbing & Heating of Plainfield, NJ, from which he retired at the age of 58. This allowed him time to enjoy his many hobbies, which included wine making, fine woodworking, riflery, and his great passion for farming his acreage in Wayne County, PA.
