Obituary for Virginia F. Santarpia
Virginia F. Santarpia, age 78 of Franklin, passed away on Friday, May 12th, 2023, at the Newton Medical Center.
Born in Queens, NY to the late Angelo and Frances (Greco) Serignese, Virginia spent most of her life there before settling in Franklin in 2005. Prior to her retirement, she had been a secretary for the control tower at LaGuardia Airport.
Virginia loved attending church and always had a Bible in her hands. She also cherished spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents and a sister, Valerie Pugliese, Virginia is survived by her loving husband, Tom Santarpia; son, Todd Santarpia (Lisa Diaz); daughter Tracey Chinga (Henry); grandchildren Jordan, Vincent, and Jackson Chinga; and her many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service for Virginia will be held on Thursday, May 18th, 2023, 11AM at the Christian Faith Fellowship Church, 3188 Route 94, Franklin, NJ 07416. Burial will follow in the Northern New Jersey Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Sparta. Arrangements are under the direction of the Ferguson—Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94, Vernon, NJ 07462.
