Obituary for Margaret Joan Brill (Daly)

Lake Wallkill, Vernon Twp., NJ: Margaret Joan Brill(nee Daly), 76 years old, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family and friends on Sunday, June 19, 2016. Born to Henry and Mary Daly in Brooklyn, NY, she grew up in Brooklyn, then lived in Middletown, NJ for 12 years before moving to the Lake Wallkill section of Vernon Twp., NJ 24 years ago.

Margaret was a graduate of Catherine McCauley High School in Brooklyn, NY then attended Brookdale Community College earning her LPN. She had worked most recently for Sunrise House in Lafayette Twp. for 15 years retiring in 2005. She was active with the Lake Wallkill Community, a parishioner of St. Francis deSales RC Church, Vernon, NJ and enjoyed time spent with family and friends.

Margaret is predeceased by her husband, John J. Brill, III(1992) and grandson Eric L. Brill(1996) and was the devoted mother of John Brill(Nathalie) of Island Park, NY, Mary Ellen Murtha(Chris) of Cumming, GA, Kevin Brill(Cathy) of Lake Mary, FL and Terence Brill(Kathy) of New Boston, NH. Loving grandmother of Kevin, Timothy, Lauren, Erin, Kayla, Brendan and Kacey. Dear sister of Kathleen Leahy and Mary Glacken. Cherished by many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive their friends at Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94(1Vanderhoof Court for GPS), Vernon, NJ on Friday, June 24, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral from the funeral home on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 9:00 AM. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis deSales RC Church, Vernon Twp., NJ at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Clove Cemetery, Wantage Twp., NJ. Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers to Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256 would be appreciated.
